Janora McDuffie received her Bachelor of Arts in Performance Studies and Psychology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After working for one of the Big Five consulting firms, she decided to swap her corporate dream for a creative one and moved to Los Angeles. Janora’s wide array of talents has enabled her to crossover to a variety of roles in different mediums. From voiceovers in hit videogames (Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas) to independent films by minorities (Bessie’s Blues, Revenge of the B-Girls, The Message, Let’s Talk), it was only a matter of time before Hollywood came calling.
Janora has appeared in both features (Drifter, Be My Baby, and Big Ain’t Bad), as well as television. Guest roles on shows like “Firefly”, “The Unit”, “Without a Trace”, and “Veronica Mars” led to her getting one of the lead parts as a government agent on the My Network hit show “Desire”. She’s also a lead in the critically acclaimed television pilot “Don’t Go”.
Janora can currently be seen alongside Beyonce and Idris Elba in the hit movie Obsessed and as Jack Bauer’s nurse in the season finale of 24.
